The Role:

  • Research and Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth research and analyzes to support the insights for product development and improvements.
  • Software Validation Assistance: Assist in the design and execution of validation processes for the software as a medical device, ensuring all validation criteria are met.
  • Feature Development Support: Collaborate with software developers to translate scientific insights into actionable software functionalities, test and review new product features.
  • Project Execution: Assist in the execution of science projects, ensure timely completion of tasks, report potential risks and bottlenecks.
  • Collaborative Research: Work directly with other team members and external collaborators, sharing data, and ensuring smooth cooperation between professionals from various sectors and disciplines.
  • Strategic Implementation: Assist in executing the strategic plans developed by the Head of the team to ensure the successful translation of the software into medical practice.
  • Communication Support: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and communication materials for various stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy of scientific data.
  • Industry Trend Analysis: Conduct regular reviews of current literature, attend seminars and conferences to remain updated on industry trends, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Training Participation: Engage in training sessions provided by the company, constantly upgrade skills and expertise in relevant areas.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary scientific teams to solve complex problems by designing experimental setups, and using computational tools to manipulate and analyze data, update and report relevant results. 
  • Contribute to the validation and improvements of the software product of the company, providing data-driven insights to inform research and development efforts. 
  • Build models and analyze large data sets from internal and external data sources, algorithms, simulations, and performance evaluation to identify patterns or trends.
  • Using programming expertise, enhance data collection processes and automate data workflow within the organization while ensuring data quality and consistency.
  • Understand and follow the Company’s accepted strategy, development and quality methodologies, and rules.
  • Proactively act in their own field based on the company’s strategy.

Requirements:

  • Master degree (or Bachelor degree with several years of work experience) in Data Science or AI/ML related quantitative disciplines such as: Computer Science, Biophysics, Computational Biology, or Engineering Sciences (e.g. Info-Bionics Engineering)
  • Scientific background including an understanding of molecular biology and genomics, and prior knowledge of tumor biology, oncology, and precision medicine is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience designing computational methods and tools, including prior experience with algorithms relevant to data analysis and modeling
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python and its data science related modules, and in other scripting languages e.g. SQL
  • Routine use of Unix/Linux operating system and version control systems such as git is preferred
  • Experience with LLMs, AWS or similar cloud computing platforms, and Jira / Confluence is a plus
  • Functional in Hungarian and English
